West Bengal Election 2019

Election for 42 Lok Sabha seats of West Bengal will be conducted in 7 phases on April 11th, 18th, 23rd , 29th and May 6th, 12th, 19th. The polls for the 42 seats are divided accordingly. First phase (2 seats), second phase (3 seats), third phase (5 seats), fourth phase (8seats), fifth phase (7 seats), sixth phase (8 seats), and seventh phase (9 seats). The results will be announced on May 23.

There are several key issues in West Bengal including distress in agriculture, unemployment, Sarada Scam, lack of rural development etc. Lok Sabha election will be a bitter contest where the ruling Trinamool Congress will be clashing with the BJP, while the Congress and the Left is expected to join together. With 6.55 crore voters, ruling Trinamool Congress seems to have the upper hand and the party has already announced a list of candidates, allotting 41 percent of the seats to women
