Election for 11 Lok Sabha seats in Chhattisgarh, the 26th state of India, will be held in 3 phases. The polls for the 11 seats are divided accordingly, first phase – April 11 (1 seat), second phase – April 18 (2 seats) and third phase – April 23 (7 seats). The result will be declared on May 23
The state has 1.89 crore voters, comprising 94 lakh men and 94 lakh women. 2018 Chhattisgarh Assembly election was won by Congress, which registered a landslide win by garnering 68 seats against the ruling BJP which had won 15 seats. The BJP lost the power after 15 years. It will be tough for the BJP in the Lok Sabha election to fight the anti-incumbency wave that has swept them in the assembly polls.
