Maharashtra will vote for Lok Sabha 2019 elections in four phases. Maharashtra's 48 Lok Sabha seats is the highest after Uttar Pradesh. Seats are allocated according to each phase. The first phase will be held on April 11 (7 seats), the second phase on April 18 (10), the third phase on April 23 (14 seats) the fourth and final phase on April 29 (17 seats). Counting will be held on May 23.
The ruling BJP and its alliance partner Shiv Sena will be facing a tough fight with Congress, NCP and other importance parties. The key issues in Maharashtra continue to be agriculture related issues, unemployment, water crisis and other welfare schemes. The BJP will contest on 25 seats while Shiv Sena will contest on 23 seats in Maharashtra. State assembly polls will be held later in the year.
