Demography Of Tripura

At 350, Tripura is the most densely populated among the North Eastern states. 81 percent of the population resides in rural areas. As of Census 2011, the literacy rate of Tripura is 88 per cent. About 60 per cent of the population in Tripura is in the working-age group (15 to 59 years). Of all the districts in Tripura, Dhalai has the largest share of rural and tribal population which stands at 54 per cent.
