India Travel Books are easy to come by and are available at any of the airports you choose to land in and at any of the railway stations that you visit. There are lots of travel books and travel brochures available everywhere even at the hotel you stay. The travel brochures are available at the reception of most hotels and are given to you free of cost if you care to ask.
However by far the most popular travel companion for India is the Lonely Planet book on India that even has small lodges listed along with phone numbers and it is well updated for almost every nook and corner of India.
Our advice is to buy these books once you land and leave them behind when you leave to save on luggage. There is a lot that one can carry back from India apart from pleasant memories.
