The 15th Lok Sabha elections were held in five phases from April 16 to May 13. These elections are important at the national level as it shows the strength of ruling party and also many times an indicator to the Parliamentary polls. Long and winding elections to Lok Sabha finally ended on May 13, but roughly half of the 71.4 Crore registered electors participated in this democratic exercise that is widely expected to deliver a hung house. The Vote Counting day is on May 16. Since counting of votes is a speedy affair due to the electronic voting machines, result comes very fast; however campaigning is still a long drawn process. In HimachalPradesh, the Lok Sabha election held in Phase-V on May 13. At the end of the day of May 16, the election results will be announced in HimachalPradesh.
