While in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP’s Sakshi Maharaj had secured a massive lead of 75257 votes over his nearest SP rival Arun Shukla in the Unnao assembly segment, the BJP had also snatched the assembly seat from the SP in the bye-election which was also held at the same time.
