The BJP had secured 106827 votes in the Shikarpur assembly segment in the last general Lok Sabha polls in 2014, a significant rise from 9884 votes in 2012. The party’s Bulandshahr Lok Sabha candidate Bhola Singh had secured a massive lead of 62556 votes over his nearest BSP rival Pradeep Kumar Jatav in the Shikarpur assembly constituency.
