The upcoming 2017 assembly election to Sawaijpur is poised for triangular contest among the BJP, SP and BSP. In 2014, the BJP candidate from Hardoi Lok Sabha constituency, Anshul Verma, had secured a lead of 38752 votes over his nearest SP rival Usha Verma in the Sawaijpur assembly segment.
