Of late, the Sardhana assembly constituency has emerged a stronghold of the BJP. In 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP candidate from Muzaffarnagar parliamentary seat, Sanjeev Kumar Balyan had secured a whopping lead of 62851 votes over his nearest BSP rival and then sitting MP Kadir Rana in the Sardhana assembly segment.
