In the 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Sandila assembly segment had given a lead of 7346 votes to the BJP’s nominee of Misrikh parliamentary seat Anju Bala who got 67032 votes in this assembly segment. This is a sharp rise from just 1525 votes which the party secured in 2012 assembly election to the Sandila seat. A keen contest among BJP, BSP and SP is in the offing in 2017 assembly elections.
