Though in the 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Malhani assembly segment had given a lead of 8783 votes to the BJP Jaunpur Lok Sabha nominee Krishna Pratap (K. P.) over his nearest SP rival Parasnath Yadav, it won’t be a smooth sailing for the BJP as it is facing spirited challenge from BSP and SP.
