Lucknow East assembly seat is poised for keen contest among BJP, SP, BSP and Congress in the coming 2017 assembly polls. In the 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Lucknow East assembly constituency had given a lead of 102560 votes to BJP’s Rajnath Singh. However that lead came down to in the bye-election held few months later.
