The upcoming 2017 assembly to Koraon will witness a quadrangular contest among BJP, SP, BSP and Congress. In 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP candidate from Allahabad parliamentary seat, Shyama Charan Gupta had secured a comfortable lead of 19713 votes in Koraon assembly segment where his nearest rival was SP’s Kunwar Rewati Raman Singh, then sitting MP.
