In the 2014 parliamentary general elections, Khadda assembly segment had given a lead of 17672 votes to the BJP candidate Rajesh Pandey over his nearest Congress rival and then sitting MP R. P. N. Singh. It remains to be seen whether the party is able to repeat the performance in the upcoming 2017 assembly elections.
