In 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Manoj Sinha, the BJP candidate from the Ghazipur Lok Sabha constituency and current Union Minister, had established a lead of 8841 votes over BSP’s Kailash Nath Singh Yadav who was his nearest rival in the Jakhania assembly segment.
