BJP is on a strong wicket in Govind Nagar which had given a massive lead of 88092 votes to the BJP’s nominee of Kanpur parliamentary seat Murli Manohar Joshi in the 2014 Lok Sabha general elections. This is a sharp rise from 12377 votes by which the party won the 2012 assembly election to the Govind Nagar seat.
