The upcoming 2017 assembly election to Etmadpur will be a keenly contested fight among the BJP, SP and BSP. The BJP candidate from the Agra Lok Sabha constituency, Ram Shankar Katheria, had secured a huge lead of 64974 votes over his nearest BSP rival Narayan Singh Suman in the Etmadpur assembly segment in 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
