The coming assembly election to Chhaprauli will witness direct fight between the BJP and RLD. BSP and SP are also in the reckoning. BSP has nominated Rajbala Choudhary to contest the seat.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Chhaprauli assembly segment had given a lead of 14717 votes to the BJP Baghpat Lok Sabha nominee Satyapal Singh over his nearest Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) rival and then sitting MP Ajit Singh who received 62625 votes in the Chhaprauli assembly constituency.
