In the 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Bilhaur assembly segment had given a lead of 69053 votes to the BJP’s nominee of Misrikh parliamentary seat Anju Bala who got 111384 votes in this assembly segment. This is a sharp rise from 25473 votes which the party secured in 2012 assembly election to the seat.
