Aonla is traditionally a stronghold of the BJP. BJP’s victory margin in Aonla assembly constituency in 2012, 4408, increased to 24922 votes in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. The upcoming 2017 assembly election to the seat will all set to multi-cornered contest among the BJP, BSP, SP and Congress.
