In a setback for SP, the party candidate for the coming 2017 election to Agra Rural assembly seat Hemlata Diwakar Kushwaha has joined the BJP whose candidate Babulal Choudhary had secured a lead of 48302 votes over his nearest BSP rival and then sititng MP, Seema Upadhyay, in the Agra Rural assembly segment in 2014. BSP, which currently holds the Agra Rural assembly seat, has once again reposed its faith in its sitting MLA Kali Charan Suman to contest the seat in the upcoming 2017 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.
