Anandan.M.S.M of the AIADMK party won the constituency in the assembly elections of the year 2011 getting 113640 votes. DMK was close on its trail losing after getting 40369 votes.

The constituency of Tiruppur North is located in the district of Tiruppur. This constituency is agriculture dependant. It is difficult predict the outcome of the polls for which primarily textile industry and labourers are the related voters will decide the verdict.
