In 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Talwandi Sabo assembly segment had given the BJP backed Akali Dal candidate from Bathinda parliamentary seat, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, a lead of 11254 votes over her nearest Congress rival Manpreet Singh Badal who received 36051 votes in this assembly segment. The AAP candidate Jasraj Singh Longia came third with 15557 votes in the Talwandi Sabo assembly constituency.
