In 2014 parliamentary general elections, Sri Hargobindpur assembly segment had given the BJP candidate from Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha seat, Vijay Sampla, a lead of 2161 votes over his nearest Congress rival who received 40194 votes in this assembly segment. The AAP candidate came third with 17166 votes in the Sri Hargobindpur assembly constituency.
