In 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Sardulgarh assembly segment had given the BJP backed Akali Dal candidate from Bathinda parliamentary seat, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, a lead of 20568 votes over her nearest Congress rival Manpreet Singh Badal who received 50198 votes in this assembly segment. The AAP candidate Jasraj Singh Longia came third with 4892 votes in the assembly constituency.
