In 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Raja Sansi assembly segment had given the BJP candidate from Amritsar parliamentary seat, Arun Jaitley, a lead of 15622 votes over his nearest Congress rival Captain Amarinder Singh who received 46953 votes in this assembly segment. The AAP candidate came a distant third with 3963 votes in the Raja Sansi assembly constituency.
