In 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Patti assembly segment had given the Akali Dal nominee from Khadoor Sahib parliamentary seat a lead of 14696 votes over his nearest Congress rival who received 47630 votes in this assembly segment. The AAP candidate managed to bag 9277 votes to finish third in the Patti assembly constituency.
