In 2014 parliamentary general elections, Pathankot assembly segment had given the BJP candidate from Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat, Vinod Khanna, a lead of 20932 votes over his nearest Congress rival Partap Singh Bajwa who received 34185 votes in this assembly segment. The AAP candidate came third with 11180 votes in the Pathankot assembly constituency.
