In 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Khadoor Sahib assembly segment had given the Akali Dal nominee a huge lead of 37863 votes over his nearest Congress rival who received 35519 votes in this assembly segment. The AAP candidate managed to bag 12300 votes to finish third in the Khadoor Sahib assembly constituency.
