In 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Jandiala assembly segment had given the Akali Dal nominee from Khadoor Sahib parliamentary seat a lead of 6297 votes over his nearest Congress rival who received 38617 votes in this assembly segment. The AAP candidate managed to bag 19756 votes to finish third in the Jandiala assembly constituency.
