In 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Jagraon assembly segment had given the AAP candidate Harvinder Singh Phoolka a huge lead of 36056 votes over his nearest BJP backed Akali Dal rival Manpreet Singh Ayali. Congress nominee Ravneet Singh Bittu was relegated to the third place.
