In 2014 parliamentary general elections, Dasuya assembly segment had given the BJP candidate from Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha seat, Vijay Sampla, a lead of 5363 votes over his nearest Congress rival who received 38612 votes in this assembly segment. The AAP candidate came third with 23527 votes in the Dasuya assembly constituency.
