In 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Dakha assembly segment had given the AAP candidate Harvinder SIngh Phoolka a lead of 5782 votes over his nearest BJP backed Akali Dal rival Manpreet Singh Ayali. Congress nominee Ravneet Singh Bittu was relegated to the third place.
