In 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Bhucho Mandi assembly segment had given the BJP backed Akali Dal candidate from Bathinda parliamentary seat, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, a lead of 5001 votes over her nearest Congress rival Manpreet Singh Badal who received 56982 votes in this assembly segment. The AAP candidate Jasraj Singh Longia came third with 10600 votes in the Bhucho Mandi assembly constituency.
