In 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Bhoa assembly segment had given the BJP candidate from Gurdaspur parliamentary seat, Vinod Khanna, a lead of 17741 votes over his nearest Congress rival Partap Singh Bajwa who received 40625 votes in this assembly segment. The AAP candidate came third with 13949 votes in Bhoa assembly constituency.
