A triangular contest is on the cards in the 2017 assembly election to Amloh. In 2014 In 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Amloh assembly segment had given the Congress candidate Sadhu Singh Dharamsot a lead of 3879 votes over his nearest BJP backed Akali Dal rival Kulwant Singh. AAP nominee Harinder Singh Khalsa was relegated to the third place.
