Siva is the nominee of the DMK. A Anbazhagan and Rajenderan are facing the electorate on behalf of the AIADMK and the BJP.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Orleampeth assembly segment had given a lead of 2565 votes to the AINRC Puducherry Lok Sabha nominee R. Radhakrishnan over his nearest rival in the Orleampeth assembly segment.
