A keen contest among the parties is on the cards for the coming 2017 assembly election to Naoriya Pakhanglakpa. In 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, the CPI candidate from Manipur Inner parliamentary seat had established a lead of 2771 votes over his nearest Congress rival in this assembly segment.
