BJP has emerged as a dominant force in the Nambol assembly constituency. A keen contest between BJP and Congress is on the cards for coming 2017 assembly elections for Nambol. In 2014 parliamentary general elections, the Congress candidate from Manipur Inner Lok Sabha seat had secured a lead of 44743votes over his nearest BJP rival in the Nambol assembly segment.
