In 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, the Congress candidate from Manipur Outer parliamentary seat, Thangso Baite, had established a handsome lead of 13562 votes over his nearest BJP rival Gangmumei Kamei in the Heirok assembly segment. Much will depend how the alliances among various outfits take shape in the coming months.
