Probable Causes of Divorce
Some marital relationships are not successful. In or society, few marriages end in divorce. There are many reasons for it. Divorce may be due to physical or sexual abuse, harmful addictions, or criminal acts. In criminal cases, divorce may be needed to defend the spouse and children. Some of divorces are by preference. The husband, the wife or both are discontented. One of the partners finds someone outside the marriage they feel might make them happier.
A little knowledge and some easy to learn skills can make a marriage joyful and virtually divorce-proof. When two people get married, numerous drastic changes happen in their lives. For the most part these two individuals should become one. They eat together, sleep together, play together, talk together, walk together, and do things together. But the union goes deeper than purely physical activities. Their hopes, dreams, and ambitions should blend and become one. For a marriage to truly last, the both partners should discover to think always, from now on, in terms of“we”and not“me.”Everything they do, every plan they devise and every decision they make should now consider what is for their mutual collective interest. When there is a difference of opinion and one partner thinks about self then there are more chances of separation. Factors such as poor communication, financial problems, a lack of commitment to the marriage, a dramatic change in priorities, and infidelity may be the major causes of divorce. Research indicates that time; sex and money pose the three biggest impediments to satisfaction in the lives of newly married couples.
Divorce has become out of control in the past few years. Even in well established family, divorce in most common and it is mainly due to lack of adjustment and ego clashes. It happens in couples where both the males and females are working. There are ego clashes among educated working couples. In the case of poor family, the husband is always the first to file the divorce and then the wife files a maintenance case. Sometimes, a warrant is tendered to the husband, and in such cases the wife, in spite of all the bickering and quarrels, sports a soft corner for the husband and the man uses this as a tool to win over the wife to withdraw the case against him .It is declared a family case and settled between themselves and the family.
Every marriage needs help now and then, both during the good times and when things become difficult. For marriage successful and marriages, there must be characteristics and qualities that enable the couples to go through both the good times and the bad times in life. It helps to have a flexible attitude towards marriage, a willingness to create a balance in the time spend together and apart, and an openness to change.
