Durpin Dara

Built in 1630 Thongsha Gumpa, a Bhutanese monastery, is the oldest in Kalimpong. Located at the 10th mile the monastery is one km from the centre of the Kalimpong town.

Tharpa Choeling Gompha

Located in Tirpai Hill this monstery was built in 1937 and belongs to Yellow hat (Gelukpa) sect of Tibetan Buddhism.

32 kms from Kalimpong in the dense forests of oak and fir is situated Lava.
