India has among the best medical facilities in the world. One can avail medical services form any where the country. For example it is best to keep nails short .Taking services of eateries which have more proper arrangements in catering can be more beneficial. In some remote places one may opt for other indoor catering rather than helping oneself from outside vendors or eateries if he at all prefers depending upon the vicinity..
Some of the vaccinations to take depending upon of region, prevalent circumstances, or the place of origination of the traveler are as shown.
Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Polio, Yellow Fever vaccination if at all one is traveling from a yellow fever infected area like Japanese Encephalitis if the stay is more than of one month and one visits rural areas extensively.

-Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) A tourist born after 1956 and has not taken vaccination of this should take two doses of the same.
-Tetanus-Diphtheria:- You need to take this revaccination every 10 years.
-Diarrhea :- This is mainly due to intake of food exposed in such unhygienic conditions. More intake of liquid should be taken and immediate doctor's supervision should be taken.
Malaria: Except at places of high altitudes of about 2000m malaria can occur occur any place. Prophylaxis with mefloquine (Lariam),atovaquone/proguanil (malarone) or doxycycline is recommended. For long stay in India one should have the medication in hand and should immediately take remedial measures upon having fever, headache, chills and muscles aches. Though not necessarily one may see the symptoms as mentioned and may go undetected for months or years .Doctor's advice is advisable.
Though its not essential to take all medications and vaccines but one should be selective by deciding with a qualified medical professional.
