Nagaland based Naga People's Front is a dominant force in the Ukhrul assembly constituency which had given a huge lead of 15990 votes to the party in 2014 Lok Sabha polls. Congress, which won the Outer Manipur parliamentary seat of which Ukhrul is a part, came second with just 5041 votes in this assembly segment.
