Though the Congress was comfortably placed in the Khundrakpam assembly constituency in 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP is growing in strength after Narendra Modi led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) came into power at the centre. Khundrakpam was one of the two assembly constituencies where BJP managed to come second.
