Nagaland based Naga People's Front is on a strong wicket in assembly constituency which had given a massive lead of 45229 votes to the party in 2014 Lok Sabha polls. Congress, which won the Outer Manipur parliamentary seat of which Karong is a part, came second with just 1275 votes in this assembly segment.
