Education Aim of Gujarat The Aim of the educational setup of the state is to educate each and every citizen of the state.

The educational setup of the state pays special emphasis on the improvement of the elementary education in the state.

The Government seeks for Socio-Economic-Education (SEE) growth with educations. District Primary Education Program of the state makes education at the level compulsory for all the students in the state. Most of the schools in the state are affiliated to either CBSE or ICSE.

Gujarat has some of the premier educational institutes like IIM (Ahmedabad), National Institute of Design, IIPM (Ahmedabad), Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI),

IITG of Gujarat Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Intitute of Technology (Surat), Institute of Rural Management (IRMA) (Anand), ICFAI University among others.

Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute in the state is an important organisation which takes up research activities on inland lake salt, marine salt and other related subjects. The government also helped in financial aid too by promoting financial schemes like Viidhyalaxmi Bond Yojna and Vidhyadeep Yojna for to support poor families for their childrens education.

In some of schools teach sharpern English language skills among Gujarat students.For improving their English pronunciation, grammer and vocabulary skills. The Gujarat government is focusing the use of investments made in education developments.

Its used for Universalisation of primary education for children in age group of 6 to 14 with specific planning, target setting the literacy rarte to 100% both male and female by 2010.Gujarat has the literacy rate of 79.3 % as per the figures of census 2011.
