Diwali Invitation Card

The main occasion of Diwali that is the Lakshmi Pujan which falls on the new moon in the month of hindu calendar Ashwin. As this day is the new moon day the evening is full of darkness the moon is replaced by the Diyas, lanterns/lighting, and of course the crackers. In the biggest epic of India that is the Mahabharata the princess of Gandhar, that is Gandhari is afraid of darkness. She always lives in light, even during the night time her room is illuminated with lots of oil diyas. So in the olden days also when there was no technology the diyas played a very significant role to vanish the darkness away.

On Diwali the diya has very special importance in many terms, according to the actual reason behind Diwali celebrations is that Lord Rama returned back to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile, defeating the demon Ravan. The Ayodhya was decorated with lots of Diyas to mark the celebrations in welcoming their beloved prince.

This flash card has lots of illuminating Diyas along with the message to invite your friends for Diwali celebrations. With this card invite your near and dear ones for grand celebrations with lots of Diyas. If you are in south India this card would be the perfect one to invite for Karthigai Deepam celebrations.
