Kingfisher Airlines
Kingfisher Airlines is a new airline based in India. It is scheduled to start flights during the second quarter of 2005 and would initially operate only on domestic routes. The airline is owned by United Beverages Group under the leadership of Dr. Vijay Mallya. The airline promises to suit the needs of air travellers and to provide reasonable air fares. Services started on 9 May 2005, following the lease of 4 Airbus A320 aircraft.
Fleet
On 18 February 2005 Kingfisher Airlines signed a contract with Airbus for three Airbus A319 aircraft, adding to the 10 Airbus A320 aircraft (plus twenty options) ordered in January 2005. The first of the A319s will be delivered in December 2005, complementing the A320s on routes to smaller cities in India. (ref: Air International April 2005)
On June 15, 2005 it became the first private airline in the world to order the Airbus A380 and the first Indian airline to do so. It has ordered 5 A380s, as well as 5 Airbus A350-800 aircraft and 5 Airbus A330-200 aircraft in a deal valued at over $3 billion. Delivery of the A330s is due to start in late 2007, followed by the A380s in 2010 and the A350s in 2012.
SpiceJet
SpiceJet is an airline based in New Delhi in India. It is one of India's newest start-up private airlines. It begun its services May 2005.
Spice Jet marked its entry in service with Rs. 99 fares for the first 99 days. There were 9000 seats available at this rate. Their marketing theme "offering low 'everyday spicey fares' and great guest services to price conscious travelers". They aim is to compete with the Indian Railways passengers travelling in AC Three tier coaches.
Spice Jet was earlier known as Royal Airways, a reincarnation of Modiluft.

Paramount Airlines is a low-cost airline based in Coimbatore, India operating in southern India.
History
The airline is being launched by the Paramount Group, a leading Indian textile manufacturer based in Madurai.
Fleet
The airline's fleet includes five Embraer 170s and three Embraer 175s. The company had placed an order for 10 Boeing 787s which are expected to enter service by 2008.
On 14 June 2005 it was announced that Paramount Airways was in the process of finalising documentation for the eight-year operating leases on 2 Embraer 170 and 3 Embraer 175 aircraft in order to commence operations in August 2005, with all five being delivered within a 12-month period. The Embraer 170s would be taken on lease direct from the manufacturer and the Embraer 175s would be leased through GE Commercial Aviation Services.

Blue Dart Aviation is a cargo airline based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It operates scheduled night express cargo flights and domestic and regional charters. It has an in-house maintenance capability and provides aircraft maintenance and and engineering support to other users. Its main bases are Hindustan Airport, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, Indira Gandhi International Airport and Chennai International Airport, with hubs at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport and Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport.
